Video Tour: #9 at Caledonia

The 9th hole at Caledonia is the shortest hole on the golf course, but do not overlook this sneaky challenge.

Playing 118 yards from the back tee, players will have no more than a pitching wedge. Between the tee and green sits one of the largest waste bunkers with a large face. The green is a mini Biarritz-style with a swale that cuts this narrow putting surface in half.

If the pin is pushed to the right side of the green, take care to note your pin placement as the green on that side runs deeper than its left-side counterpart.

A solid wedge shot is rewarded here, and should be a great birdie opportunity for most – just what the doctor ordered as you head for your cup of chowder at the turn, and take on Caledonia’s picturesque back nine!
