Cheers to Golf

Like a lot of things in 2011, the game of golf has struggled a little bit in terms of player participation, the business of golf, the struggles of professsional golf in finding stars on both the Men’s and Ladies Tours. But things seem to be on the upswing heading into 2012. Golf is becoming more global with  younger stars on both Tours starting to assert themselves, a sleeping Tiger may be starting to wake up and although the economy is lagging in the U.S and Europe, golf is booming in China and other parts of the world. Who knows the next star on what will become a World Wide Tour may a be young Chinese player with a cool nickname like __________________ and a killer game to match.  Like everything in our fast paced lives this writer would like to see the game evolve. Yes, let’s always appreciate the history of the game and its stars, but let’s not be afraid to explore new ideas in the game of golf. We look forward to writing about all of these possibilites in the year to come. So Good-Bye to an ok 2011 and Welcome to a great  2012!

Cheers!
